The mask omits prominent facial features, leaving only the physical tension of the bones beneath. Drawing on x-ray scans of teeth, it explores awake bruxism, the involuntary clenching or grinding of teeth during waking hours that is often linked to stress, pain, or sustained psychological strain. The stacked sets of teeth create a cyclical sensation, echoing the repetitive nature of bruxism. The work reflects the experience of invisible discomfort and how it reverberates through the body.
