This drawing was created during a challenging period following an accident that left Fortis with hearing loss. Later, she found significance in the gesture of holding an ear, seeing it as a symbol of connection that transcends her own story. Through this print, an intimate struggle is transformed into an exploration of the shared human longing for empathy and recognition.
